Hi!  The 4th of July holiday is upon us and that means the summer is halfway over.  Wedding Season will be kicking into high gear before we know it.  

We thought we would take a look at the trends we hope NOT to see in the coming season.

1.  Naked Cakes -  ok that was cute for a while...but we are done now...bring back buttercream!

2.  Pick a Seat Not a Side Signs - Very rarely does seating at a wedding ceremony truly follow the "bride's side" / "groom's side" tradition.  We like both sides to be full of wonderful guests...no need a for a sign that we have all seen 1,000 times.

3.  Anything with a mason jar/lace/burlap - no further explanation needed.

4.  Cupcakes instead of a wedding cake...cupcakes are fun but have had their time.  Now mini-cupcakes on a dessert station - we can get on board with that!

5.  Sparkler Exits - Let's face it...people who have been drinking at an open bar and playing with fire on a stick..not a good idea.

6.  Donut Walls - we ask why?  what is the point? We aren't fans.

7.  Barn Weddings - In some parts of the country totally cool...in South Florida - it's always HOT inside a barn...you and your guests are miserable and uncomfortable.

8.  Vintage Just Because - If your style is vintage...cool.  If you are doing it just because it's on pinterest...not cool.

9.  Blush/Gold/Ivory Color Palette - Yes, it is beautiful, yes it is classic...but don't be afraid of color!

10. White Sand Dollars, Starfish with anything written on them...we get it..you are having a beach wedding.
